Rangiroa, the
third largest lagoon in the world, with nearly 1500 km², known as the Mecca of diving, with no less than
7 dive centers, 3 of which are available through our services: Topdive, Six Passengers, and Rangiroa Diving Center with the Te Moana inter-island Diving Pass or upon request for the Rebreather experience.
Depending on the season, you can find humphead wrasses, triggerfish, Manta rays, Leopard rays, grey reef sharks, hammerhead sharks, barracudas, turtles, dolphins, whales, and many more species...
To the East
The Blue Lagoon, a lagoon within a lagoon, a shark nursery with ideal conditions (shallow and inaccessible to predators), a place of rare beauty with intense shades of blue.
To the South
The Reef Island: discover a lunar landscape over several kilometers, with impressive coral formations called Fe'o, which contrast with the splendid white sand beaches all around.
On the main island
to the great delight of residents and visitors alike, a large number of snacks (small local eateries), restaurants (some with shuttle service) and roulottes (food trucks) have sprung up in the past few years.
You can also discover the famous
Gauguin's Pearl Farm, with free shuttle and guided tours with demonstration,
Monday through Friday, at
8:30 am, 10:30 am, and 2 pm.
La Cave
Recently opened, La Cave proposes you come and
discover how the Wines of Tahiti are made, produced by a vineyard set up on a coral reef off the main motu, and which quality is becoming more established year after year.
Tour and tasting on
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays at 5pm, with a fee of 18 euros per person, transfers not provided.
The Green Lagoon
Lastly, close to the marina of Avatoru (at barely 15min by boat) is the Green Lagoon. A lovely
little private islet with white sand (rare on the main motu!), clean and well maintained, where you can safely swim in shallow water.
Plan for around
40€ per person for the whole day, with boat transfer from the dock & lunch included.
